haii... work tml again.
makes me dread the future.
every sunday night i think of the work ahead and i'm filled with this unsettling feeling =(
at first when it was at iras, it was more understandable. handling customers can realli be a headache. especially those who called in, OBVIOUSLY. to create trouble.
selfish taxpayers that refuse to consider that the person on the other line is also
only a human and does not fully represent and stand for the government. everyday i have to tolerate, and restrain myself from giving them a piece of my mind. simply just typing this makes me mad. lucky i din plan to stay on in the first place.
so, ppl lookin' for trouble-- oh! let me correct that. people trying for a bit of a challenge, feel free to take up the job.
argh. let me juz put all this behind me and forget that this ever happened.
kudos to all those still stayin' there.
*solemnly salutes*
u have my respect.
hm. so on to wads gg on now.
yep now i'm working as a clerk.
well.
i thought it would be pretty boring.
that WAS my impression of a clerk.
my initial definition of a clerk:
-person who sits in front of the computer typewriter and does nothing but type
-takes calls occasionally
-does some paperwork
hm, actually. that definition is still rather correct. but i had not expected it to be this tough!!!
guess the higher the pay, the higher the price
you pay as well.
i thought -wad a joke- i THOUGHT that a clerk would be a boring, brainless job.
hell, was i wrong.
well it happens that at the company that i'm working at, singapore happens to be the "headquarters" for the company's business in the ASEAN region. and oh my god. wad a headache.
we are supposed to handle all the sales from vietnam, indonesia, malaysia...
do the ordering, packing, invoicing... and wad not.
and you have to
think everyday, does this go by air? do i do a delivery order? is this a direct shipment? do i have to unpack this? do i send by DHL?
i realli did not expect it to be this overwhelming.
the real clerk ( whom i'm taking over since she's gg on maternity leave) gave me a book to write my notes. and now after one week of training, that book is already 3/4 full.
you would think that one is still in sch, having to write so much notes!
and to think i'm returning to all this madness tml.
seriously.
people who are thinking that your present jobs are paying too little, think again.
there is realli no free lunch in this world.
hahaa, this job really makes you want to go for the avg 6/hr brainless job.
or go army. haha! army sounds fun! lol...
hmm. but mayb its because i have no one to realli talk to and that's why the stress(?) is kinda penting up. yeah, u would think i can talk to my father, but he's always on the run cos he doesn't want to pay for my lunch =.= the idiot.
and then again. mayb its cos i'm still new to this, since its onli been one week of work. >.<
GHASTLY consequences shd any mistake happen to occur.
( the transactions come in tens of thousands sometimes you know )
( and i dun mean in yen. in SING. omg. yen is duno how many million )
lucky its onli mon to fri.
if i haf to work on weekends too, i'll go mad.
and oh. i forgot to mention.
i think i hasn't played bball for a week.
which means it'll be extending to 2 weeks, since i cannot possibly play after work.
i'll probably shoot one three pointer, faint and die from the sheer effort of it. hahaa!
and ah.. i think i'll make a greater effort at updating here as much as possible.
lol.
oh ya, did i mention? clerks can type amazingly fast.
for us, for a faster typist, the words appear like a powerpoint slide effect, letter by letter.
but her words! omg. they appear in chunks lor.
and the speed at which she presses the calculator!
hey
issac, tt time u said i press cal like press sms. omg. that kind of "compliment" would be an insult.
the speed at which she presses the calculator is godlike. the fingers are just a blur.
there would be a long string of numbers. then *flash! and you sit there stunned. the sum suddenly appears on the calculator while she calmly writes it down.
aiyo. and this is hardly an overstatement. i can't describe it very well. >.< its just scary.
:'( !
work tml.
gambari masu yo! ( hope i gt tt correct)
( oh ya, i think i din mention this as well. my bosses are japanese. lol. )
( and oh ya, one last note. dun watch cj7)
